Cyber safety

Are your parents pushovers when it comes to the internet? My father was, but then he decided my MSN messengers (who I didn't know) were getting too dodgy, so he hauled me to the computer and made me block the people (innocent children, I think), and banish them from my life. On Bebo, I had to delete all my friends who I didn't know. Kind, innocent people making friends.
My cousins mother has to check out everything he goes on. Not being paranoid. Being safe. I say she has got a good reason to do that.
Are your parents acting like either my Dad, my Couzie's Mum, or the parent who lets you go on any site you please?
